Lamborghini Diablo SV - Welly

When the Diablo SV by AUTOart was widely available, I let my chances of getting one passed by because I was focused on getting the Diablo VT first. Since 2 years ago, I finally decided to get the SV but unfortunately, prices had skyrocketed and the model had become rare as well. So my chance of owning one at a cheap price was the Welly version. Surprisingly, the actual model is decent. The casting inside and out is very similar to the UATOart version. Well, it just needs a few modifications and detailing.

Anyway, here are the things I did to improve this model:

-repainted the black spokes from black to silver
-Lowered front height
-Improved the interior by repainting to 2-tone color white & black (cockpit, seats, dash board, door sidings)
-installed carpet
-replaced the seatbelts and installed photo-etched seatbelt buckles
-improved the foot pedals and fabricated photo-etched style pedals
-minor engine detailing
-improved the rear fog lamp and reverse lamp
-repainted the rear plates
-repainted the rear lamp frame to flatter black
-repainted the muffler tip holes
-repainted the front boot compartment to flatter black

Now I'm totally satisfied with this model and she will be displayed along side with the rest of my raging bull collection. :)

1:18 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 - AUTOart

Here's my Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 in Giallo Orion (Metallic Yellow) by AUTOart. This model is so impressive that I'll just let the pictures do the talking...

I modified and detailed the engine. Added some missing wires, chrome belts straps, hoses, and oil reservoir, and some other parts. Looks much better now.

With it's smaller1:43 brother made by Hotwheels Elite.

1:18 Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia - AUTOart

Here's my latest addition to my collection of Raging Bulls. The Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia by AUTOart.

There are other manufacturers of this same model but of course, only AUTOart can replicate the correct proportions and fine details as featured. The model is excellent as expected. The exterior is almost the same as the LP560-4 Gallardo model except of course for the engine cover, additional antenna, roof blinkers and wheels. Inside, the engine is the same. The front boot have an emergency kit and fire extinguisher while the interior have the needed accessories found in the real 1:1 Gallardo LP560-4 Italian police car.The steering wheel is another to notice at. The center is applied with a photo etched Raging Bull logo and a chrome silver ring around it. Very nice detail indeed.

The color shares the same shade of blue from the re-released standard Gallardo Polizia. But I think the first release has a better shade and fortunately, I was able to get that. Well of course, at a different price. Anyway, I also like the fact that AA also put carbon ceramic brakes on this one. Although the photo etched aluminum disc are a very nice touch to the older Lamborghini releases by AUTOart because of its realm.

1:18 Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo - AUTOart

It's been eight months since I last bought a 1:18 model. The last one I acquired was the Gallardo LP550-2 and that was October of last year. So I finally added a new raging bull in my 1:18 collection. The beautiful Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo by AUTOart. I need not say much about the details because I'll just let the pictures speak for this model. Simply wonderfully crafted inside and out.

Anyway, I chose this color because I'm not really a fan of cars with liveries. The black and white version of this model have liveries all around the body. The orange version on the other hand is also plain bodied just like this one.

Bull Badge

I was able to acquire a 1:1 Lamborghini raging bull badge. Although it's just an imitation, it looks really nice. It's made of aluminum and nicely crafted. I've done some shots of my models with the badge.

1:18 Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni Limited Edition - AUTOart

It is a limited (250 units) version named after Valentino Balboni, Lamborghini's former chief test driver for over 40 years. The engine is rated at 550 PS (405 kW; 542 hp). The vehicle has a dry weight of 1,380 kg (3,000 lb). Unlike the contemporary line-up, this model is rear-wheel-drive (because the standard all-wheel-drive system was removed). The CORSA ESP setting allows greater drift angles over regular models.

Other features include re-calibrated optional e-gear transmission, redeveloped 45% limited slip differential, full leather black upholstery with white colour strips, Polar white centre console, a stripe down the centre of the car, and a badge below the left side window bears the signature of Valentino Balboni and the production number of the car.

The Lamborghini LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni can reach a top speed of 199 mph and reach 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

In 2009, the car was voted Top Gear's car of the year; Richard Hammond explained: "We were impressed with its stripe, its V10 engine, its rear wheel drive, the savagery of its exhaust, and its, er, stripe."

Valentino Balboni's signature etched on a plate can be seen behind the glass of the rear-side quarter window. Great feature not missed by AUTOart.

VERDICT:

There are only two minor issues I noticed that AUTOart missed on this model:

1. In the AUTOart website, this particular model's color is/was announced as Verde Ithaca. In reality, it is a bit far from Verde Ithaca but rather light green metallic. Nevertheless, the model still looks good in this shade of green.

2. When Valentino Balboni gave the specs for his signature car, first he mentioned for the Gallardo VB was to be built in 2-wheel drive with 6-speed manual stick shift. Aa released the LP560-4 with manual stick shift and released this model with paddles shifter. It should have been the other way around.

Aside from those issues, the entire model is built in absolute craftsmanship.

-Paint job is flawless.
-Panel lines are tight.
-Photo-etched badges (front bull emblem, side "LP550-2" emblem and rear "Lamborghini" badge) are neatly and correctly applied.
-Front boot and engine cover stays in place with the hydraulic struts.
-Interior is beautifully done with the white lining, gold and yellow accents.
-As expected from Aa, the wheels, tires, disc brakes, and calipers are realistically crafted (Aa's best effort).

I highly recommend this model for Lamborghini and supercar collectors and fanatics. If you intend to buy more than one, the metallic yellow and metallic orange versions are also nice colors to choose from.

1:18 Lamborghini Miura P400S - Kyosho

The Lamborghini Miura is considered as the most sexiest car in the world. Many would even agree that it is also the most beautiful car ever made. It also defined the word "Supercar". Model aside, like the P400SV and Jota SVR version Miuras, this P400S model is also excellently crafted by Kyosho. As I mentioned in my previous posts, I chose Kyosho over AUTOart when it comes to Miura and Countach models. I thought of adding this variation to my collection as I've wanted a yellow Miura too. Some minor differences can be seen from the SV version. Such as the tail light, side mirror placement, wheels, headlight "eye lashes", and the front signal and clearance lights. There are also a few changes in the front engine bay but the engine is almost identical.

I didn't have any plans in getting this model as it wasn't on my priority list... yet. But this was offered to me at a very good price. US$45 all in! So who could resist? Hahaha!

AUTOart as usual is the best maker of most modern Lamborghini models (1990 and up) such as the Reventon, Murcielago, Gallardo, Diablo in scales 1:18 and 1:43. This particular model is the only American version Lamborghini replicated by AUTOart. The rest are European version (which is much better in my opinion).

Anyway, here it is and I just did a few minor detailing to it. Replaced the plastic seat belts to ribbon type, repainted and added a few wires to the engine, installed aluminum tape to the rear radiators behind the fans to replicate the real ones, and painted silver fine linings to the center console.

I just received this model over the weekend. I've been wanting one ever since but it this model is already a hard-to-find item. Fortunately, one of my contacts from Japan was able to get this one for me. So here, it sits on one of my Lambo shelves. Enjoy the pictures!

Lamborghini Countach 5000s - Kyosho

This is the other half of my ultimate holy "Lambo" grail. It also took me more than two years to find this precious model. Luckily, I finally have it.

This model reminds of of the 80s movie, "Cannonball Run II". As with all "Cannonball Run" series, their beginnings start off with a speeding Countach chased by police patrol cars.

Basically, the details are almost the same as the blue 5000 QV. The only minor differences are the engine details, engine cover and muffler tips. Aside from those and the colors of the interior and exterior, everything is identical. As with all Kyosho Countach models, this is simply perfect!

If you're on a hunt for 1:18 Countach or Miura models, take my advice, Kyosho is always the best choice. Don't settle for anything else. Not even the AUTOart Countach or Miura.

Lamborghini Countach LP500R - Kyosho

My diecast friends have always convinced me to get the LP500s (Walter Wolf edition). I didn't really like how it looks simply because of the following: the rounded arch of the front fenders, the black lining on the fenders and the wheels. However, when I learned that Kyosho would re-release this LP500R, I told myself that I should get one. So here it is, sitting on the shelves of my Lambo corner.

I didn't feel like owning a black Lamborghini in 1:18 scale except for this one. Because most black Lambos are hard to take pictures with and the lines and shape are somehow hidden especially when it's a little dark. But since this Countach is wrapped with white stripes (which I really like), I didn't have a hard time shooting it. I also like the "LP500R" label on the doors and rear trunk. But these decals are very fragile and one should be very careful when peeling off the sticker seals on the opening doors, trunk and front bonnet because the white decals may come off with it. Fortunately, I used a technique and saved all the decals from peeling off.

Model aside, the interior is white and looks very well in contrast to the black exterior. The meshed BBS wheels goes well with the car too. As expected, this Countach is made with accurate craftsmanship by Kyosho.

Lamborghini Miura Jota SVR - Kyosho

This model wasn't exactly in my most wanted list. Because the original Miura Jota is not an SVR but rather a "Jota" only.

Two reason why I decided to get it is because this model is packed with so much details, and I got it at a bargain so why not get it. Right?

Open the engine cover and you'll see a wonderful engine surprise. The front bay is so much different from the regular Miura P400 & SV as well and the front bonnet is supported by a hydraulic strut. The details in the interior are superb with a five-point race-seatbelt on both seats. BBS rims are used on this one, which I have no idea why ( they should have used the Campagnolo instead), but still looks good anyway. The gas filler cap opens as well as the rear trunk.

In terms of details, I rate this model 9 out of 10.

Lamborghini Urraco P250 - Kyosho

Another addition in my Lamborghini collection is this Urraco P250 model. The details are all accurate and fantastic. Kyosho is known for using screaming doglegs on hoods and trunks, but it's good to see that this model has minimal doglegs which are only found in the trunk. The interior are excellently crafted as well as the engine bay and exterior. The head lights pop-up with just a touch of a button. The trunk is provided with a single hydraulic strut and the engine cover is supplied with a stand. The front bay reveals a spare tire, battery and horns.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 - AUTOart

As soon as the AUTOart 1:18 Gallardo LP60-4 was released in Dec 2009, I hesitated to get one because the only colors available were black & yellow. While I was eagerly waiting for the white one to be released, I learned from our local diecast shops that its release was going to take sometime later which made me impatient. So 2010 came, I bought a yellow version right away and told myself that I would just sell it in case the white version comes out.

Surprisingly a week later after I purchased the yellow LP560, the white one was released. On that day, my friends and I hurried to one of our favorite diecast stores and I got the white one. When I placed the 2 (yellow & white) Gallardo LP560 models side by side, I was amazed how the yellow version stood out. Which is why I have decided not to sell it anymore and just keep it together with the white one.

Lamborghini Diablo VT - AUTOart

The AUTOart Lamborghini Diablo VT is one of my two holy grails. I've searched for more than two years for this model. Thankfully, a good friend and collector, Mike Cortez, helped me acquire one.

This model is one of AUTOart's earliest release. The model itself is fantastic. Special mention on the very realistic interior. The exterior lines, stance, angles, and shape are all perfect and no other model maker have produced a Diablo model this good.

The 1:43 version is also made by AUTOart.

Lamborghini Countach LP400 - Kyosho

The Lamborghini Countach is the first true exotic supercar. It inspired many other car manufacturers to step up to the next level in building sport cars. Although Lamborghini admittedly knew that the Countach's major flaw is its aerodynamics, still it became an icon and a legend in the automotive industry worldwide.

Below are pictures of the LP400. Blue metallic with white interior. This 1:18 model is excellently made by Kyosho which has always been my choice when it comes to Countach and Miura models. The 1:43 version on the otherhand is made by Minichamps.

My second Miura in my 1:18 collection. I've been wanting this green Miura SV and finally found one to add in my herd of bulls. Kyosho is my choice when it comes to Miura and Countach 1:18 models. Because I find them more accurate and offers more details than the AUTOart counterparts. Their stance look so much better as well.

Gallardo

The Gallardo was designed as a competitor to the Ferrari 360, and now competes with its replacement, the Ferrari F430. The Gallardo has a rear-biased all-wheel drive system which differentiates it from its rear-wheel drive competitors. Lamborghini's parent company Audi is renowned for its quattro 4WD system, however Lamborghini uses a system of its own. Unlike the Countach, Diablo, and Murciélago models, the Gallardo does not have scissor doors. The Gallardo was designed by Luc Donckerwolke, who won the 2003 Red Dot Award for the design of both the 2004 Gallardo and 2002 Murciélago.

The Gallardo offers two choices of transmissions, a conventional (H-Box) six-speed manual transmission, and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled 'semi-automatic single-clutch sequential manual', which Lamborghini abbreviates to "E-gear". The "E-gear" allows the driver to make shifts much faster than a manual transmission would. The driver shifts up and down via paddles behind the steering wheel, and does not need to manually actuate the clutch.

The Audi R8 sports car, launched in early 2007, is based on the Gallardo platform, and uses a 4.2 litre V8 in place of the Gallardo's V10 to avoid competing directly with the Gallardo. For the 2008 model year, an onboard computer, iPod connectivity with USB, heated mirrors, Q-citura stitching that originally could only be found on the Nera model, and a beige soft-top on the Spyder, were added to the Gallardo.

I didn't have any plan on adding this model until I saw one at a bargain price. I quickly grabbed it and there, it now sits on one of the shelves in my Lamborghini display . As usual, AA makes the best modern Lamborghini models in 1:18 scale. Like the newer release, Gallardo Superleggera, this standard Gallardo model is packed with accurate details and the paint job is flawless. The wheels, disc brakes and calipers are very realistic. The tires are labeled with "P Zero".Well crafted interior and engine are great features not to be missed.
It still is a great addition in my Lambo collection.

Lamborghini Murciélago - AUTOart

I decided to add this in my Lamborghini collection. Though I already have the verde ithaca (metallic lime green) Murciélago, I still wanted a color variant for this model. This by the way is a reissue from AUTOart, the metallic yellow color is also the siganture color of the Murciélago when it was first shown to the public during its official launch. This reissued model have a few improvements made from the original release in 2003. All four wheels have independent working suspensions. The front Lambo badge is also different. The doors have also been improved to previous Lambo models (2003-2006) from AUTOart with scissor doors. It doesn't wobble like the older models does. Here are a couple of pictures to enjoy.

Gallardo Superleggera - the car

A special version of the Gallardo, dubbed the Superleggera, was launched at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show supposedly in preparation for the next Ferrari 430 Scuderia. The Superleggera is lighter than the base Gallardo by around 70 kg (154 lb) - down to approximately 1,360 kg (3,000 lb) - thanks to the use of carbon fibre panels for the rear diffuser, undertray, the rearview-mirror housings, the interior door panels, the central tunnel, and the engine cover. Even the wheel nuts are made of titanium instead of steel to save even more unsprung weight at each corner of the car. According to the original Press Release issued by the factory the superleggera was available in four colors only : Midas Yellow, Borealis Orange, Telesto Gray and Noctis Black, however at least one white Superleggera has been built.

The intake, exhaust and ECU have been upgraded to release an extra 10 hp (7.5 kW) for a total of 530 hp (395 kW). The lightening and extra power result in a 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the base Gallardo. The 6-speed e-gear transmission, usually a US$ 10,000 option, now comes as a standard. The full price for a Superleggera with everything on it runs for over $200,000. Lamborghini began offering the Gallardo Superleggera in June 2007. In March 2008, Lamborghini announced that they had ceased production of the Gallardo Superleggera. The Superleggera paid tribute to the first Lamborghini production model, the famous 350GT, which was designed and built by the Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera in Milan, a coachbuilding company that recently restarted its activities.

The model

AUTOart had done a great job once again. Replicating the Gallardo Superleggera in 1:18 scale is "almost" perfect. The model is fantastic I should say. From the sharp body lines, detailed carbon fiber accents, perfect paint job, accurate wheels, carbon disc brakes and calipers, and interior. The only inaccuracy I noticed is the engine . The Superleggera's engine is slightly different from the standard Gallardo. But AUTOart used the same mold of the older AUTOart Gallardo. However, aside from that, everything else on the model is accurate.

By the way, this Superleggera model is far from its cheaper counterpart made by Maisto. So if you're having second thoughts on purchasing this one, think twice no more. Go ahead and do yourself a favor. :D

Lamborghini Reventón (Auto Art 1:18)

Finally, after a long wait, a proper 1:18 scale model of the Reventón is released. Made by Auto Art, this model is worth every penny. The model itself is very accurate in terms of scale proportions, detail accuracy and realistic features. It weighs heavier than the Auto Art Murcielago as the side air intakes or "wings" and rear engine bonnet are made of metal. Auto Art did really well on this model and puts the other 1:18 counterparts to shame such as the Bburago, Mondo Motors and the very expensive MR Reventón which is made of resin plastic, sealed (no opening parts) and cost five times the price of the Auto Art.

Carbon Fiber finish are seen everywhere in the interior. Noticeably, the instrumentation cluster, dashboard sides and center console.The carbon fiber weave grain of the wheel's fins are so fine, which makes the wheels look very realistic and very accurate. The carbon disc brakes are also visible and realistically made as well as the calipers.Carpet is nicely applied in the interior's flooring and firewall. The flooring on both sides are also provided with rubber mats. The steering wheel is flocked just like the real one and the A/C vent rings are chromed. I fabricated photo-etched door lock-latches to add more realism to this model.

Ceiling center console control panel and sun visor details.The engine have better details than the previous Auto Art Murcielago. Wires have been provided where it should be seen. Metal mesh grill are also visble in the engine bay. Although I have modified my model's engine with the missing details and repainted the exhaust manifold to copper-gold. The engine cover is supported by gas hydraulic struts.

A very fascinating feature that AutoArt didn't miss was the rear plate lamps that are also surrounded by a metal-meshed grill.Front boot is supported with gas hydraulic struts. The front bay is also carpeted.
The side air intake or the "wings" are movable too. They are spring loaded so it shuts down when they are released. The spring also keeps the "wings" closed even if the model is turned over. Inside the air intakes, metal-meshed grills are also installed.

Front 3-D badge or emblem is embossed. Very nicely crafted.The tail lights are accurate. The fans are very visible from the metal-meshed grill of the air outlet.

Another master piece, is this feature.

The numbered badge on the center between the seat belt harness. "Reventón -00/20". The actual "00" car is the first Reventón to roll out of the Lamborghini factory and now remains in the factory museum.

Lamborghini Garage diorama (1:18 scale)

I have already spent three months working on this diorama (and still in progress). Majority of the accessories seen are from my own creation coming from different materials. Initially, I had only planned to do a simple garage, but I noticed some more things missing. So I decided to do some extensions of the set.

The car lift is a Hotworks Up & Down lift. I didn't use the base and wall that came with the set. Instead, I created a simpler base that actually looks much better.I had also bought a Snap On garage essential tool set to add on this diorama.
I fabricated a fixed door and door handle. I also cut some pictures from various magazines and converted them to wall posters.Ceiling lights using LEDs.
I fabricated this air gauge, hose and nozzle, together with the tubing Fabricated car batteryFabricated stainless steel work bench with drawers.Fabricated springs and wrenches.Fabricated wall outlets and power extension cord.

I got this engine from my son's wrecked Bburago Diablo. I detailed, repainted and replaced the plastic wires with real ones.

Paint booth extension. Here, I have used the Up & Down lift's base. I repainted the wall and weathered the flooring. I repainted the wrecked Diablo's body to white as primer preparation. As well as the doors. Fabricated some buckets.

As is the case with most of Lamborghini's cars the Espada's name is also tied in to bulls and bullfighting. It means "sword" in Spanish, the weapon of the matador.

Based on the Marzal show car, displayed at the 1967 Geneva Auto Show, and the Bertone Pirana, a radically rebodied Jaguar E-Type. It was to fill the spot of a true four seat car in Lamborghini's lineup, which already included the 400GT and Miura. 1217 cars were made, making it the most successful Lamborghini model at the time.

The car was designed byGiorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign, shortly before he designed the Volkswagen Passat in 1971.

The Espada was originally fitted with a 4L 325bhp V12 engine, fully independent suspension and four wheel disc brakes. Most transmission were manual, and the Espada also introduced one of the first automatic transmission able to absorb the torque of a large sporting V-12. It had unusual gearing, with 3 ratios: drive, 1 and reverse.

During its 10 year production the car underwent some changes, and three different models were produced. These were the S1 (1968-1970), the S2 (1970-1972) and the S3 (1972-1978). Each model featured engine power improvements, but only minor details were changed with the exterior design. The interior was altered dramatically between each model. An all new dashboard and steering wheel was installed for the S2, and the interior was again revamped for the S3. In 1970, power assisted steering was offered as an option, and in 1974 an automatic transmission was also offered. In 1976 impact bumpers had to be installed to meet United States safety requirements, and some people consider cars produced with them to be the S4, but Lamborghini did not officially change the designation. Near the end of the Espada's life, Bertone designed a four door prototype, which was never put into production.

In 1999, a new version of the Espada was rumored to be in the works, but it was right at the time Lamborghini wanted to concentrate on a Diablo successor, so little became of the idea aside from a few drawings.

Lamborghini Murciélago (AUTOart)

The Lamborghini Murciélago is a high performance sports car produced by Italian automaker Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. and designed by Luc Donckerwolke. It was introduced in 2001 as the successor to the Diablo. The Murciélago is a two-door, two-seat coupé. To celebrate the company's 40 years in operation, 50 special edition Murciélagos were built during the autumn of 2003. An open-top version called the Murciélago Roadster was introduced in 2004 for the 2005 model year. The roadster features similar performance to the coupé with a more aggressive rear flank, as well as a considerably higher price tag. The Murciélago sports a 6.2-litre version of the Lamborghini V12, 580bhp engine, a six-speed manual or six-speed sequential automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive. It also has a rear spoiler that can be raised to an angle of 70 degrees, side mirrors that fold in to improve aerodynamics, and side scoops that automatically open to the needed size to let in just the right amount of air needed to cool its engine. The 2008 car's fuel economy is 8 miles per US gallon (3.4 km/l/9.6 mpg-imp) city and 13 miles per US gallon (5.5 km/l/16 mpg-imp) freeway, making it the least efficient 2008 car for city and highway driving, according to the EPA. In 2006 the Murciélago's engine was replaced by a stronger 6.5-liter engine and the car's name was changed to Murciélago LP640. For the 2007 model year Lamborghini did the same with the roadster model, which is now called Murciélago LP640 Roadster. Both versions received a minor facelift. The name Murciélago (pronounced moor-cee-EH-la-goh in traditional Castilian Spanish and moor-see-EH-la-goh in Spanish of Latin America) means "bat" in Spanish. A bull by this name survived 24 sword strokes in an 1879 fight at the arena of Córdoba, and fought with such passion and spirit that the matador chose to spare its life, a rare honor. In another Lamborghini tie-in, the bull was later presented as a gift to Don Antonio Miura, who was a noted breeder and whose bull ranch the Lamborghini Miura was named after, and went on to sire a line of famous fighting bulls.

Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 (Norev)

The LP640 version was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2006, as a facelift for the coupé version. It features a 6.5 Liter engine, now producing 472 kW (642 PS/633 bhp), improving performance substantially. Like the base Murciélago, the engine is mounted "backwards", with the transmission in front of the engine and the differential behind it, instead of a transaxle normally seen on mid-engine cars. There were also a few minor external changes, primarily to the low air intakes.

The front and rear bumpers have been reshaped to channel air more efficiently, and the new exhaust has been shaped into the rear diffuser to minimize aerodynamic lift. The air intake on the left side has been enlarged to accommodate the feeding of the oil cooler. The car's body is made up of steel and carbon fiber, while underneath a revised suspension has been added to keep up with the car's performance. It also has an all-wheel-drive system that normally distributes 70% of the torque to the rear wheels, but can allocate up to 100% to either end depending on where the grip is running out. There are also new 18-inch (460 mm) Hermera alloy wheels running huge 335/30 tires at the rear. The LP640 retains the original car's scissor-opening doors.
Inside the LP640, the seating has been reshaped to accommodate greater headroom, while an upgraded instrument panel is flanked by an improved stereo system.

The LP640's optional equipment includes carbon ceramic brakes for swifter braking, chrome paddle shifters and a glass engine cover which shows off the LP640's engine.

A special edition version of the Murciélago LP640 was introduced at the Paris Motor Show. The Versace edition features a customized all-white exterior and a matching white interior. However, a one-of-a-kind black LP640 Versace and LP640 Roadster Versace were also presented by the factory.

LP stands for Longitudinale Posteriore, referring to the longitudinally-mounted, 6.5 L V12 engine, capable of producing up to 472 kW (642 PS/633 bhp) at 8000 rpm. Along with a new six-speed manual transmission, which can come in Lamborghini's optional paddle shift "E-gear" package, the LP640 can go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds: 0.4 of a second quicker than the previous Murciélago, and reach a top speed of 219+ mph. The LP640 is accommodated by an electronic Launch control device called "Thrust."

Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT (AUTOart)

In 1990, a new bull was born from the design work of once again, Marcelo Gandini. This was named the Diablo (devil in Spanish) and was created in replacement for the aging Countach. It reigned as Lamborghini's flagship from 1990 to 2001. The first Diablo was powered by a 5.7 liter, 492bhp, V12, 48valve engine, with a top speed exceeding 200mph. The first Diablo was followed by different variants. Such were, Diablo VT (Viscous Traction, all-wheel drive), SE30 (Special Edition 30th Anniversary), SE30 Jota, VT Roadster, SV (Sport Veloce), SV-R, GT, 6.0 and the GTR. The 6.0 VT and the GTR were conceived under Audi’s ownership since they bought the company in 1998. The 6.0 VT cars were produced from 2000-2001. Engine has been increased to 6.0 liter, 550bhp. It also received a face lift and changes on the sides and rear. The interior and dashboard was completely re-designed with touches on carbon fiber panels. Overall weight has also been reduced.

The 6.0 was their first (and last) truly intensive redesign of the car, meaning that it was more than just a cosmetic update to the existing model. Heavy styling changes both inside and out were made; the front bumper, ait intakes and nose as well as the entire dashboard, seats and switchgear were changed and improved. Displacing 6.0 litres and based on the motor that powered the Diablo GT, which in itself was essentially a modified version of the 5.7, the motor had updated ECU software in addition to new intake and exhaust systems and a refined variable valve timing system with slightly less aggressive camshafts had been used in the earlier versions.

Although the Diablo has been replaced by newer models, it holds the name “Bad Boy” of among the Lamborghini automobiles.

Lamborghini Diablo GTR (AUTOart)

After campaigning the Diablo SV-R for four years in the Diablo Supertrophy Lamborghini launched a completely new car for the 2000 season. This Diablo GTR is a modified version of the 6 liter GT version of the Diablo launched in 1999. In comparison with the Diablo GT, GTR most important features are a modified chassis frame with integrated roll bar, improved suspensions, central fixing nut for the rims, race braking system, additional radiators for transmission oil cooling, very high performance rear wing (directly bolted to the chassis), simplified interiors and weight reduction. The engine is basically the same V12, 6 litre, of the Diablo GT which thanks to the adoption of a specially tuned exhaust system, without catalyser, delivers 590 hp (440 kW/600 PS) (575 in the GT model).
The engine management system is based on the proprietary Lamborghini LIE electronic engine control system tuned for racing. Fuel injection is sequential multipoint and ignition is static with individual coils. Lamborghini Data Acquisition System, LDAS, and diagnostic functions are integrated in the engine electronic management system.

For the engine cooling, two water radiators in parallel are side mounted to the engine and an engine oil cooler is front mounted as in the Diablo GT. Additional coolers for gearbox and differential oil are installed in order to better match the racing overloads.
The transmission is on the rear wheels through a Lamborghini 5 speed gearbox with one basic gear ratio option and an alternative option for a shorter 5th gear ratio. The gear box lever is in an asymmetric position on the central tunnel in order to be closer to the steering wheel, for better control. The steering system is power assisted.

The tubular chassis frame integrates the roll bar and is directly connected to the rear wing. The front suspension is modified for racing. Shock absorbers and anti-roll bars are adjustable. The rims are lightweight magnesium alloy with central fixing nut and they accept racing type tyres. A special racing fuel tank with fast filling system has been installed. The braking system is based on the Diablo GT high performance module. New racing brake calipers have been adopted to better match the very severe racing conditions.
Most of the body is carbon fibre made, except for the roof, which is made of steel for torsional rigidity, while the doors are made of aluminium, for safety reasons.

The cockpit fittings are simplified to meet racing requirements. The driver seat has been moved towards the longitudinal axle of the car, reducing the size of the central tunnel, to ensure a better driving position. Racing switches for ignition and for other functions have been adopted instead of the series push buttons. The fire extinguisher system is installed on the right side of the cockpit with activating switch on the tunnel. The driver's seat is of racing type with a six-point safety belt and the steering wheel is also racing type.
A production run of 30 cars was planned at the launch of the car at the 1999 Bologna Motorshow, but at the end of the run 40 cars were built.

Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera & Spyder (Maisto)

Gallardo (Nicadraus custom)

This model was a former Gallardo Superleggera by Maisto. Since AUTOart released their own accurate rendition of the car in 1:18, I decided to do some mod work and convert this model into something else.

Modifications:

- repainted the entire body and changed color

- wheels swap from Gallardo Spyder and repainted the wheels

- fabricated and installed front chin

- repainted silver rings on A/C vents
- repainted foot pedals and and replaced improved paddle shifters

- repainted disc brakes
- installed carpet on the flooring
- added carbon fiber to the back on the seats and top of side air intakes
- added wiring, hoses, chrome belt holders
- repainted some parts on the engine, added wires, hoses and tubings
- modified the seatbelts with ribbon type

Gallardo Spyder (Nicadraus custom)

The production spyder model of the Gallardo was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January 2006. It is considered by the company to be an entirely new model, with 520 hp (388 kW) and a lower-ratio six-speed manual transmission. The soft top is fully retractable.
Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer was the first person in North America to take delivery of the Gallardo Spyder.
Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson announced on 18 February 2007 that he had bought a Gallardo Spyder, replacing his Ford GT.

I also converted this model into a modified version.

Lamborghini Reventón (Bburago)

Currently the most radical Lamborghini ever to roll out of the factory in Sant' Agata. Based on the Murcielago LP640 platform, the Lamborghini Reventón (pronounced as ɾeβenˈton) was named after a fighting bull in keeping the Lamborghini tradition. Designers at Centro Stile (Center Style) crafted and engineered boxy edges styling for better aerodynamic handling, inspired from the F-22 Raptor's design. Powered by a 650bhp v12, 48valve powerplant, it claims a top speed of 220mph. Only 21 Reventón cars were produced and 20 each car have been sold out during its launch. Car #1 remains at the Lamborghini factory museum.

The instrument panel in the Reventón comprises three TFT liquid crystal displays (LCDs) with two different display modes. The instruments are housed in a structure milled from a solid aluminum block, protected by a carbon fiber casing. The G-Force-Meter is completely new and it is one of the talking points of the Reventón. It displays the dynamic drive forces, longitudinal during acceleration and braking, as well as transversal acceleration around bends. These forces acceleration are represented by the movement of an indicator on a graduated 3D grid depending on the direction and intensity of the acceleration. Formula one teams also use a similar device to analyze dynamic forces.

By simply pressing a button, the driver can switch to the second, quasi-analogical display, where there are the usual circular instruments; speedometer and tachometer. The G-Force-Meter still remains at the center of this display mode.

Lamborghini has also picked up some of parent company Audi's design language. The Reventón is the first Lamborghini to incorporate daylight running lights into the headlamps. Seven Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) at each headlamp flank the Bi-Xenon main beam and they stay lit whenever the car is in movement. Due to the high temperatures in the rear lower part of the car, special heatproof LEDs are used for the indicator and hazard lights, stoplights and rear lights with a triple arrow optical effect.

Each of the 20 Reventón cars was sold at $1.4 million without taxes. One unit in the US was bought for $2.5 million.

Lamborghini Countach 5000s QV (Kyosho)

The Lamborghini Countach was a mid-engined supercar produced by the Italian automaker from 1974 to 1990. Its design popularized, the wedge-shaped, sharply angled look popular in many high performance supercars. The "cabin-forward" design concept, which pushes the passenger compartment forward in order to accommodate a larger engine, was also popularized by the Countach. The car featured on posters in every boys room in the mid 70's to the late 80's. The Countach inspired many sports car manufacturers. Like the Miura, it was also designed by Marcello Gandini of the Bertone design studio.

In 2004, Sports Car International named this car number three on the list of Top Sports CArs of the 1970s, and it was listed as number ten on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1980s. The Countach is one of the 10 most influential cars in the world.

1:18 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV (Kyosho)

The car that defined the word "supercar". It sure did surprise people from the "prancing horse" side when this "raging bull" was unveiled at the 1964 Geneva Autoshow. One of the most beautiful cars ever made in the history of automobile industry. The name "Miura" came from a Spanish fighting bull. The car was designed by Marcelo Gandini for Bertone. Unique and sleek.

This Miura is definitely a wonderfully crafted diecast model from Kyosho. From the paint, interior, engine, wheels, stance, and front bay, the details are exquisite.
